Gem City’s Tumbling Team competed in their second competition of the 2018-2019 competition season in Canton, IL on December 9. Awesome job tumblers!

Gem City’s Gymnastics Team competed at the Horton Invitation in Bloomington on December 7-9. It was their third meet of the season and their last meet of 2018 this weekend. We are very proud of our girls. Our Level 3 Team earned 5th Place Team Award! 🎉

Our gym held a Giving Tuesday donation event with our Team athletes. We are trying to encourage a thoughtful mind and a giving heart this holiday season. We handed out letters encouraging our Team athletes to choose an organization, donate $1-$5 of their own money, and then write us a letter telling us why they chose that particular organization. The gym then matched up to $5 for each donation. The more our kids see giving the more likely they are to give themselves. Whether they give of their money, their time, or their resources, we are thankful to have such generosity in our youth.
Temperatures have dropped but our competition seasons are heating up!
Our Gymnastics Team competed in their second meet of the season this weekend, Make-A-Wish, in Barrington, Illinois. We had 15 girls place in the Top 10 for All-Around Awards!

Due to school closings, we will have no classes or practices on Monday, November 26. Please be safe and stay warm!
This applies to all recreational classes and practices of competitive teams. Regular session classes will resume on Tuesday.

Rebekah Lovercheck, a fourth grader, is the winner of our Good Grades Quarterly Drawing! The drawing was for the first quarter of the 2018-2019 school year and happened on November 16. There were over 370 entries! We’re always excited by the opportunity to share in our athlete’s success at school with our Good Grades Quarterly Drawing.
Our Gymnastics Team competed in the Paul Hamm Invitational in St. Charles, IL. It was their first competition of the 2018-2019 season. Great job, GCGT!
