Earning their highest score of the season, Gem City’s Senior All Star Squad won their last invitational of the season! The Junior Squad also performed their highest score of the season, hitting their routine with zero deductions and winning second place.
Before heading to State, Gem City’s Tumbling Team closed out the regular season with a meet in Flora, Illinois, on March 26-27. 10 out of 15 athletes finished in the top 3.
Gem City’s junior squad will kick off the month at Nationals on April 2-3 in Kansas City, MO followed by the senior squad competing at Nationals on April 9-10 in Pensacola, FL.
Congratulations to Gem City’s Level 7 athletes who qualified and are advancing to the USAG Illinois State Championships. Lila, Sophia, and Olivia will travel to Northbrook, IL, to compete on April 1 – 3, 2022.
Sylvia Winking is a Level 5 State Floor Champion. Gem City’s highest score of the weekend was earned by Kaliyah Chinn on vault with a 9.725!

Congratulations to our Level 3 & Level 9 athletes who qualified and are advancing to the USAG Illinois State Championships. The meet will be hosted by Energym Gymnastics on March 25 – 27, 2022 in Dekalb, Illinois.
Gem City’s Level 4 & 5 gymnasts had a great meet season with 14 athletes qualifying to advance to the USAG Illinois State Championships. The meet will be hosted by X-Caliber Gymnastics on March 18-20 in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Whether you’re an all-star cheer veteran and would just like some extra practice time or you’ve never done anything “cheer” in your life, come and workout with us! We’ll be holding these on on three Saturday’s: April 23, 30 and May 7 from 10:15 am to 12:15 pm.
All Star cheer tryouts for the 2022-2023 season will take place on Saturday, May 14 for Gem City’s junior and senior squads. The tryouts is available for all skill levels and ages 6 to 18.
Thirteen of Gem City’s tumblers traveled to Flora, IL, on February 26-27 to compete in their fourth meet of the season. Nine of the athletes finished in the top three, bringing home 4 golds, 3 silvers, and two bronze medals this weekend and they crushed it!
Gem City’s gymnastics team closed out the season on February 15-27,2022 at the the 31st annual St. Louis Classic hosted by Team Central Gymnastics Academy. The Level 3 Team earned 3rd place and we had many strong individual placings.
Gem City’s Level 2 Senior All Star Cheer Squad competed at the 2022 CSG Des Moines Challenge where they finished second!
The Gem City Diamonds, our junior level 1 all star cheer squad, competed their hearts out at the 2022 CSG Des Moines Challenge to earn a 2nd place finish.
