Gem City’s gymnastics team competed at their first meet of the season this weekend at the Crossroad Classic in Bloomington, IL. It was a great first meet with the Level 5 team earning 3rd place and many athletes already qualifying for State!
A ton of first-time competitions for competitors at new levels attended the last meet of 2024. Gem City had two new elite athletes and three new advanced athletes. Both elite athletes registered their first elite qualifying difficulty scores and the advanced girls shined.
The holidays are fast approaching and so is the end of our session! Don’t forget to enroll in spring session classes before Christmas break!
It’s evaluation week starting November 18! It’s a great opportunity for coaches, athletes, and parents to celebrate the progress that’s been made during the session.
The Gem City Phoenix (Senior Squad) and the Diamonds (Youth Squad) both earned first place at the Kansas City Rockstar Championship in Overland Park.
Congrats to Lyla Main, our first winner of the 2024-2025 Good Grades Quarterly Drawings! Lyla attends Gem City’s gymnastics classes and is a 6th grader.
We are well into the fall session, which means two things: 1) the start of competition season (Good luck, tumbling team and all-star cheer squads!) and 2) we are starting to gear up for the spring session.
Sixteen of Gem City’s tumblers started the season in East Moline, IL— ten of those athletes competed in their first competition ever!
Spooky season is upon us! 🎃 Here’s what you need to know about October and Halloween at Gem City.
The fall session is off to a great start and we have a few things to update everyone on.
Gem City will be closed for Labor Day from Saturday, August 31 to Tuesday, September 3. This is a schedule break, so no make-up classes are needed.
We’re taking a quick break before fall classes, which means the gym will be closed from August 10-25 for classes.
It’s the last week (August 5) of the summer session! The last day of summer classes is Friday, August 9. Can you believe it went by so fast!?
