
Station 3 – Beam
Beginner Skill – Proper Walk
- Stand on one end of the balance beam facing forward
- Put both arms out straight to the side to help balance
- Walk forward by putting one foot in front of the other
- Walk to the other end of the beam while keeping your head level
Immediate Skill – L Kicks
- Stand on one end of the balance beam facing forward
- Put both arms out straight to the side to help balance
- Lift one leg straight up in front of you to belly-height
- Bring your leg back down to the balance beam while placing that foot in front
- Repeat your L kicks while rotating between both legs until you reach the end of the balance beam
Advanced Skill – Tip Toe Walk
- Stand on the end of the balance beam facing forward
- Put your arms straight up over your head
- Push up to your tippy toes with one foot in front of the other

This open, unstructured time for kids age 6 and under to play in the gym. It’s available most Wednesday’s from 9:30-11:30 am. You can come for a half-hour or stay the whole two hours. $9
