Station 2 – Welcome to Bars

Beginner Skill – Hang

  1. Grab the bar with both hands
  2. Pull your knees in to your tummy to the tuck position
  3. With your feet off the ground, count to three
    • Spotter’s note: be prepared to catch them if they let go

Immediate Skill – Full Body Strength Training

  1. Grab the bar with both hands
  2. Put your feet (one a time) on the bar between your hands
  3. Count to three
    • Spotter’s note: be prepared to catch them if they let go

Advanced Skill – Skin the Cat

  1. Grab the bar with both hands
  2. Put your feet (one at a time) on the bar between your hands
  3. Bring both legs through your arms at the same time
  4. Look at the ground and watch for both feet land
  5. Let go of the bar with both hands
    • Spotter’s note: put one hand on their belly and one hand on their lower back to help them with their rotation (video included)
