Level 3 Gymnasts Head to State in Waukegan
Our incredible Gem City level 3 team is about to take the USAG State competition by storm in Waukegan, Illinois, on March 21-23 – we couldn’t be more proud!
To qualify, each athlete earned an all-around score of at least 34.00 during their regular season competitions. They also competed in up to five invitational competitions in Illinois and Missouri since last December. They all attend gymnastics practice 2-3 times a week all year round – on top of school, homework, friends, and social calendars.
We are so proud of the hard work they put in week after week. Training in gymnastics often means working through times when you can’t see your progress. We’re proud of the hard work each athlete has put into their own talent and growth during the year.
Gymnastics team coaches include Jacob Huff, Hope Huff, Sarah Shumake, and Rylee Mellon. You can read more about Gem City’s gymnastics program and find our meet schedule here.
