June 2024 Newsletter

What a way to start summer! We’re proud to have won the Small Business of the Month Award from Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce.

We’re also getting excited for the Olympics this summer! To celebrate, we’ll be doing two things:

  1. We’ll be holding Olympic Week in July to celebrate! Grab a t-shirt in the Pro Shop to show your support for gymnastics!! (We just restocked our inventory, so pop in to grab a new size or color before they sell out.)
  2. Buy a raffle ticket in the Pro Shop for a chance to win Lila, the newest American Girl Doll and gymnast. Plus, Lila will come with gymnastics equipment and competition outfit accessories. Get your tickets before the drawing on Thursday, August 1. More info here.

We still have a few summer class openings! Give us a call to get your spot reserved. Pricing is based on your start date, so don’t hesitate!

Hope you stick your landing!

🥳 Coming Soon in Fall 2024: Two New Gem City Programs

Homeschool Gymnastics

Athletics play a powerful role in helping kids grow, which is why Gem City is excited to offer a new program designed for homeschool students!

We’ll offer daytime classes for ages 16 months to 11 years old. This program will be co-ed. These classes will be designed differently than our traditional classes. Skill levels and ages will be combined for the first time to better accommodate families with multiple children attending.

Details: Prices for the classes will be available when the full fall schedule is released on July 1st. The fall session is 16 weeks long, beginning on August 26th and ending on December 21st.

Class Schedule:

  • 3-4 years old: Tuesday 9:00-9:45 AM
  • 5-11 years old: Tuesday 9:45-10:45 AM
  • 16 months-2 years: Tuesday 10:45-11:15 AM
    (parent participation required)

Recreational Cheer

Learn the building blocks for all things cheer related, including jumps, basic stunting, tumbling, and counting.

Recreational Cheer will be a 45 minute, co-ed class for athletes from ages 6 to 12 years old. This more broadly focused class will establish a solid foundation for all aspects of cheer. (Gem City’s cheer tumbling classes focus specifically on the tumlbing aspect.)

Details: Prices for the classes will be available when the full fall schedule is released on July 1st. The fall session is 16 weeks long, beginning on August 26th and ending on December 21st.

Class Schedule: Class day and time for the fall session will be a starting point. Based upon interest we may offer more classes for the spring 2025 session.
