Two Level 7 Gymnasts Headed to State Championships
Two of Gem City’s Level 7 gymnasts had a great meet season by qualifying to advance to the USAG Illinois State Championships. The meet will be hosted by Ultimate Gymnastics on March 24-26 in Libertyville, Illinois.
Advancing to State competitions is not easy. Each Level 7 athlete had to earn a 34.50 All-Around score at a qualifying invitational earlier in the season. Our Level 7 girls attended up to six invitationals this season throughout Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky.
Our Level 7 athletes practice up to four times a week at practice and then usually attend one-on-one lessons throughout the season to perfect certain skills.
Training in gymnastics often means working through times when you can’t see your progress. We’re proud of the hard work each athlete has put into their own talent and growth during the year.
