Congratulations to Gem City’s Level 7 athletes who qualified and are advancing to the USAG Illinois State Championships. Lila, Sophia, and Olivia will travel to Northbrook, IL, to compete on April 1 – 3, 2022.
Level 7 athletes had to earn a 34.50 all-around score at a qualifying invitational during the regular season. Gem City’s Level 7 girls attended six invitationals this season throughout Illinois and Missouri. Athletes earning a 35.00 all around score at State will then to advance to Regionals April 29-May 1 in Louisville, KY.
Gem City’s Level 7 athletes practice up to six times a week and then usually attend one-on-one lessons throughout the season to perfect certain skills.
