Parkour is described as using obstacles as opportunity. You’ve probably seen people doing parkour as they jump from obstacle to obstacle and vault their bodies over whatever obstacle is in their path. (Check out the video below to see what we’re talking about.)
We think Gem City’s community will love parkour! To gauge the interest of our community, we’re hosting a free demonstration of a parkour curriculum that we’re considering for Spring 2019. You’ll both see what Parkour is and get to try it out.
Parkour Demonstration → Sunday, September 30 from 6-8 p.m.
We are working with a certified Parkour instructor, David Boden, to bring you the best experience. David has years of Parkour experience, and has recently moved back from Denver. He practiced Parkour and got certified under ParkourEDU while in Denver. He’s really excited to keep training and pass on his passion to the Quincy community.
This parkour demo is open to anyone age 7 or older, including ADULTS. You can wear comfortable athletic clothing and no shoes during the demo class. No experience required, but any background in athletics would be helpful.
