Kids would never get sick and never have to miss school or their gymnastics classes in an ideal world, but cold weather tends to bring sniffles, sneezes, runny noses, and fevers. This means there’s no shortage of sharing these germs back and forth.
If your child is sick, you are likely faced with the question: Do I send them to school? To gym? It’s not always an easy call but here are two big things to consider when thinking about illness and gymnastics:
😷 The Health of Other Children and Staff
Let’s stop these nasty bugs from spreading! We’ve been taking extra precautions at Gem City to keep the gym a clean and healthy place. If your child did not attend school due to illness, please extend that same courtesy to the gym. Please be fever free or on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to gym.
🧠 Mindset
Your little one might not be sick enough to need a doctor, but it can still be a struggle to focus and learn. If your child is uncomfortable, sleepy, or generally distracted, it’s probably better to keep him or her at home.
