Julie Ginos took Gem City’s team pictures for the 2022-2023 competitive season. We have a gymnastics team, tumbling team, and senior and junior all star cheer squads. It’s a fun moment to document and celebrate our hard-working, student athletes with team photos.
We’ve been having an exciting few weeks as the Tumbling Team and the Senior All-Star Cheer Squad kicked off their seasons! The squad has already qualified for Nationals!!
Gem City’s Tumbling Team competed in their first competition of the 2022-2023 season in East Moline on November 6.
Gem City Phoenix, our senior all-star squad, earned third place, Grand Champion for Tumbling, and a bid to Nationals at the CSG Peoria Challenge.

Gem City will hold no classes or team practices on Monday, October 31. Have fun trick-or-treating!!
The gym will be closed from September 3-6 in observation of Labor Day. Fall classes resume on Wednesday, September 7.

The final winner of our Good Grades Quarterly Drawing for the 2021-2022 school year is Nadea Tikhanovich! She’s in our Beginning Cheer Tumbling class and will be a senior this upcoming school year at Payson Seymour High School.
Gem City’s full fall offerings for gymnastics, tumbling, all star cheer, and kinder gem classes are available. Registration begins on Monday, July 18.
Summer classes are going great! We’re getting really excited for our next skills and cheer clinics.
Sixteen of Gem City’s tumblers competed at the United States Trampoline & Tumbling Association’s (USTA) National Championships in Lakeland, Florida, on June 13-18. Athletes from 138 gyms from across the country attended — we’re so proud that 10 of our 16 athletes placed in the top 10.
