Zeke Cernea Receives Coach of the Year Nomination

Co-owner and head tumbling team coach, Zeke Cernea, was recognized for excellence in coaching with a nomination for the United States Trampoline & Tumbling Association’s (USTA) Coach of the Year! Gem City is incredibly proud of Zeke’s coaching and leadership.

Judges and fellow coaches made nominations for this award from among the entire pool of USTA coaches and affiliated clubs across the nation. The final decision for Coach of the Year is determined at USTA Nationals in June when all coaches and judges vote on the honor.

USTA is over 30 years old and a major governing body for the sport of trampoline and power tumbling. It was founded in 1971 by Larry Griswold and George Nissen, the gymnast and inventor who developed the modern trampoline itself as well as the trampoline as a worldwide sport and recreation.
